What is described is a pneumatic setting element for closures on vehicles, the working piston of which is blocked, before the installation of the setting element in the vehicle, in a specific position against displacements caused by forces which can act on outer movable parts of the setting element during the mounting operation, the blocking of the piston being cancelled only when the setting element is joined together with an actuating member of the associated closure.
