PURPOSE:To prevent fuel from being excessively fed into a main tank by forming a connecting member of a main tank to a sub-tank with both a fed pipe in which a feed pump is provided and a connecting pipe. CONSTITUTION:When a level sensor 42 inputs an operating signal into a changeover switch 44 by detecting fuel A, a feed pump 32 is operated to feed fuel A into a main tank 2 through a feed pipe 14. While the fuel level of the main tank 2 is higher than the height of a connecting pipe 12, fuel fed from a sub- tank 8 is returned to the sub-tank 8 through the connecting pipe 12. After that, when the sub-tank 8 emptied its fuel disabling the sensor 42 from detecting, the operation of the feed pump 32 is stopped. |
