<p>A branched hose is constructed using a substantially rigid connection device (10) having at one end a flange (12) for insertion through an opening in a main pipe (16) to bear against the internal surface of the main pipe, and an annular abutment (14) spaced from the flange (12) and dimensioned so as to resist any tendency for the connection device to fall into the main pipe during assembly when a branch hose (15) is force fitted over a portion of the connection device remote from the flange. The assemply so formed is surrounded by mouldable (20) material which is caused to occupy any spaces between the abutment (14) and the main and branch pipes (15, 16) and then cured.</p> |
