PURPOSE:To prevent breakage due to an increase in flow by forming tapered pressure receive surfaces between cruciform projections of the outer peripheral surface of the cruciform portion formed by notching cross-shapedly. CONSTITUTION:A check valve is formed by elastic material, and is provided with an inflow port 3 for a fluid disposed at one end of passage 2 provided at the central portion thereof in the axial direction. At the other end of the passage 2, an outflow port 6 for preventing a back flow is reduced in diameter to be tapered and notched cross-shapedly in such a manner as to open when fluid pressure is applied from the inflow port 3. Tapered pressure receive surfaces 10 intersecting at right angles are formed between cruciform projections 8 of the outer peripheral surface of the cruciform portion 7. When a fluid flow ing in through the inflow port flows out, an open area almost equal to the area of a fluid inflow port can be ensured so that even if the flow of a fluid is increased, the valve is not damaged.
