Device measures the concn. of solids in a suspension by capturing a gives volume of the suspension, forcing out the fluid and measuring the new volume. The device consists of a plunger fitted securely into a tube with perforations at one end. The assembly in enclosed in a housing and clamped to the side of the container or pipe holding the suspension. On the inside of the container is a framework with a solid top-piece. |
