PURPOSE:To minimize quantity of transmission signals or to reduce the transmission time by moving a cursor to apply space processing to a signal other than required part of paper limited by the position of cursor and completely avoiding the unnecessary part of the upper and lower parts from being transmitted. CONSTITUTION:A transmission paper sheet 3 is placed at a prescribed position in a frame of a loading base and the cursors are moved to positions as near as possible a graph 21 to be transmitted surrounded by imaginary lines (e), (f), (g), (h) formed by the cursors 27, 28, 29, 30, then the preparation of transmission is finished. When the transmission is started, since graphs 22, 23, 24 are all within the space signal processing region, they are not transmitted at all. When the scanning overrides a horizontal line (i), only the graph 21 is transmitted, and when the scanning overrides a horizontal line (g), graphs 18, 19 are processed as space. When the scanning is finished, an original end signal is given and the transmission is finished.
