PURPOSE:To enable a magnetic material to be easily magnetized, by providing a magnetic material layer by arranging a multiplicity of minute magnetic material elements with minute spacings therebetween, in a printing material wherein a magnetic material layer to be transferred onto an image-receiving medium to form a printing plate is supported on a base. CONSTITUTION:The magnetic material layer 3 supported on the base 2 is formed of a magnetic material comprising a magnetic powder of gamma-Fe2O3, Fe3O4, CrO2, alloyed iron or the like dispersed in a binder having releasability for the base 2 and adhesiveness to the image-receiving medium. The magnetic material layer 3 is provided by arranging the magnetic material elements 3a on the base 2 in multiple stripes with minute spacings therebetween or in a matrix form with minute spacings therebetween. The magnetic material layer 3 can be minutely polarized by simply magnetizing the layer 3 along the layer surface in a uniform magnetic field, resulting in a strong magnetic force. |
