PURPOSE:To improve a bus application factor without producing any deadlock by prescribing the bus opening timing and opening the bus with the prescribed timing only when a buffer is busy. CONSTITUTION:A receiver opens a bus in a time slot (i) and cannot deliver the next request until the next slot (i). Thus it is possible to obtain the timing where the bus is used by all receivers. It is secured for receivers to acquire the bus without fail although the time to acquire the bus is increased in response to the increase of the receivers. However, coincidence is not always obtained between the timing of the end of the data transfer and the timing of the relevant receiver itself in case the bus is opened each time in the same time slot. Therefore, the bus is used wastefully only in a half cycle with the average time slot. Then a deadlock can be avoided if the bus is opened with the timing allocated only in a busy mode of a buffer. Thus the bus application factor is never deteriorated.
