PURPOSE:To facilitate adjusting of side clearance and thrust position of rotor by previously applying pressure in axial direction through a spring onto one of two bearings for bearing the spindle of rotor at the opposite sides while moving the other bearing faintly in axial direction. CONSTITUTION:The spindle 3 coupled to the rotor 3 of vane pump is supported by bearings 5a, 5b at the opposite sides of rotor. One bearing 5b is arranged movably in housing 1b in the axial direction while previously applied with pressure in axial direction through a spring 16. While the other 5a is supported movably in axial direction in the housing 10 where the axial direction is limited by an adjusting screw 12 to be screwed into the thread groove made in the innercircumferential face at the boss section of casing 10.
