HEAT TREATMENT OF INCONEL

PURPOSE:To inhibit the formation of a sensitized region in 'Inconel 600(R)' in a welding stage by subjecting the alloy to mill annealing at a specified temp., welding and stress relief annealing. CONSTITUTION:'Inconel 600(R)' is heat treated by mill annealing at 860-960 deg.C and stress relief heat treatment at a temp. below the mill annealing temp. after welding. The stages are organically combined.
