It is known to suck air from the boot of a motor vehicle and to force it by means of a fan via a chemisorption filter into the passenger compartment. In order to introduce the cleaned and filtered air into the passenger compartment in such a manner that said air is collected by the intake side of an existing air conditioning system, it is proposed according to the invention to distribute a multiplicity of small, flexible, foot-load resistant tubes (4) made of plastic or metal, preferably 10-13 of them, uniformly below the rear seat of the motor vehicle and to lay them as far as from below the floor carpets from the rear seat forwards into the front foot space and to design them in the form of veins.
