PURPOSE:To sufficiently release gases generated at burning of an anode by burning the anode set upward in a cup-shaped glass container. CONSTITUTION:An anode 6 is set on a plane glass stand 5c set at the central portion of the bottom of a cup-shaped glass container 9. The glass container, anode and others set in this way are put on a table 3 in a kiln 2 and burning is executed under the burning condition of 450 deg.CX1hr. During burning, a fan 1 is rotated, so that hot blast flowing through wire gauze 8 can eliminate water and gases of hydrocarbon such as methane, oxygen and others generated from the anode 6 through a port 2a of the kiln to the outside thereof and that gases generated through a metal-backed surface 6a of the anode 6 can be burned in the circumstance containing sufficient oxygen. At this time, even though there is hot blast at burning, peeling of metal-backed surface 6a can be prevented by providing the difference of height ranging from 30-50mm between the top end 9b of a rising portion 9a of the glass container 9 and the metal- backed surface 6a of the anode. |
