PURPOSE:To eliminate the bad effect of feeling of steering in high speed running by suitably controlling the output of an electric motor in a transient state from a state of the electric motor not generating the output to a state of it starting to generate the output. CONSTITUTION:A torque sensor 1 is a sensor for generating a torque signal s corresponding to the steering torque of a steering signal (1), and the signal s of this sensor 1 is inputted into a first motor output indicating function portion 2 and a second motor output indicating function portion 3. The first motor output indicating function portion 2 determines a first motor output indicating value A1 on the basis of a first motor output indicating function which is zero when a torque signal value in under given value s0, and which rises up with given gradient angle when the torque signal value is over given value s0. Further, the second motor output indicating function portion 3 determines a second motor output indicating value A2 on the basis of a second motor output indicating function which slowly rises up from zero against the torque signal s. |
