PURPOSE:To reduce the distributed capacitances of bridging wires portions and thereby prevent the occurrence of ringing phenomena by setting the maximum radial thickness dimension of each deflecting portion and the axial thickness dimensions of the bridging wires portions of the forward side and backward side of each deflecting portion in a definite relationship. CONSTITUTION:A saddle type deflecting coil 11 is composed of a pair of deflecting portions 12, 12, a forward side bridging wires portion 13 connecting the forward sides of both deflecting portions 12, 12 and a backward side bridging wires portion 14 connecting the backward sides of both deflecting portions 12, 12. The maximum radial thickness dimension of each deflecting portion 12 and the axial thickness dimensions of the forward and backward bridging wires portions 13, 14 being denoted as Td, TW, and TW2 respectively, the relationships between them are established so as to be Td>=TW1, TW2. Thus, the distributed capacitance of each bridging wires portion can be reduced and thereby the occurrence of ringing phenomena of horizontal and vertical pattern can be prevented. |
