PURPOSE:To reduce the total cooling capacity by controlling the cooler operation of an on-load phase regulator with the sensed signals of the load sensor of the on-load phase regulator and the tap position sensor of the on-load phase regulator, thereby bringing the cooling capacity close to the necessary cooling capacity of the on-load phase regulator. CONSTITUTION:Base on a primary current condition 17D, a secondary current condition 17C, and an intermediate current transformer condition 17B or a tap position condition 17A, namely, three conditions in total, and using a main body oil temperature condition 17E as a back-up condition, cooling fans 3a, 3b constituting cooling devices 2a, 2b, coolers 10a, 10b controlling oil pumps 4a, 4b, and a cooler control unit 14 give self-judgment on the effect of the fluctuation of the tap position and the load factor in the total loss of each winding of an on-load phase regulator 1, thereby operating the cooling devices 2a, 2b under optimum control. By adopting a cooler control unit performing such control, auxiliary equipment loss can be saved, and particularly, when the phase angle difference is small, noise can be reduced and the cooling devices are allowed to have a long life. |
