A drivable mowing apparatus (1) which consists of a drum and/or rotary mower, which can be driven via a power take-off shaft (47) by the tractor (3), is provided on the front of a tractor (3) using a releasibly mounted supporting frame (5). In order to obtain a substantially larger cutting width with a simple structure in a single operation, without problems arising during travel on roads or through gates, provision has been made for two mowing apparatus units (1) to be provided which can be pivoted between a lower operating position which is at least approximately horizontal and an approximately V-shaped raised travel position, consist of a drum and/or rotary mower and are arranged alongside one another transversely to the direction of travel in the lower operating position in such a way that the mowing regions of the two mowing apparatus units (1) overlap or at least adjoin one another and that the two mowing apparatuses (1) are driven via the power take-off shaft (47) by means of a synchronising gear (49) (Figure 1). <IMAGE>
