PURPOSE:To produce amorphous iron clad useful for adjusting trial water quality for examining water treatment devices such as a filter, by making both ferrous ion and Fe2O3 exist in water having <= a specific value of dissolved oxygen concentration. CONSTITUTION:In water having <=20ppb, especially 0.5-5ppb dissolved oxygen concentration, Fe<++> and Fe2O3 exist in a ratio of 10:1. A device for producing this amorphous clad consists of a degassing device to make dissolved oxygen value in pure water into the give value, an iron ion producing device to feed Fe<++> to the degassed pure water, a device to feed Fe2O3 to the pure water, and a blender to mix Fe<++> with Fe2O3 as main constituent elements.
