PURPOSE:To stop the outside unit fan and allow the condenser to release heat by the reverse wind when the velocity of reverse wind exceeds a predetermined value by detecting the reverse wind, and to stop the compressor if the reverse wind goes on and the discharge pipe temperature exceeds a predetermined value by providing a wind velocity sensor that detects the reverse wind and causes the outside unit fan to stop its operation and a discharge pipe temperature sensor that causes the compressor to stop. CONSTITUTION:When a reverse wind blows while an air conditioner is being operated, a wind velocity sensor 3 detects it. When the reverse wind velocity exceeds a predetermined value, a wind velocity sensor control section 2 opens outside unit fan control contact points 6 to stop the outside unit fan 11. Therefore, the condenser 10 can release heat by the reverse wind, and the compressor 9 can continue its operation without activating an eddy current relay 14. If the reverse wind goes on, the temperature of a discharge pipe 5 increases, which is detected by a discharge pipe temperature sensor 4. When the temperature of the discharge pipe 5 exceeds a predetermined value, a control section 18 opens actuating relay contact points to stop the compressor 9. |
