PURPOSE:Fine particles of almost complete roundness that are obtained by mixing a heteropoly-acid solution with Rb ion, as the pH of the homogeneous solution containing both elements of the heteropoly-acid and Rb is controlled, thus showing specific particle size and deviation value. CONSTITUTION:The objective spherical fine particles of inorganic oxides are composed of Rb salt of polyhetero-acid, has a shape of almost complete roundness, 0.3-8mu average particle sizes and 1.0-2.0 average deviation. The fine particles are obtained by preparing a homogeneous solution simultaneously containing elements of heteropoly-acid of the formula (m is integer of 3-7, n is positive number which is determined by the elements constituting the polyacid, Z is at least one of W and Mo which may contain V in a range up to 1/3 at an atomic ratio) and adjusting the pH of the solution to 0.1-6.5.
