SOUND MUFFLING TYPE FILTER ELEMENT

PURPOSE:To perform noise treatment to a suction side, by allowing the closure end plate of a filter element to sink in said element up to a certain degree of a depth so as to hold a slight gap from the hollow inner periphery thereof to also use the same as a resonant cylinder. CONSTITUTION:Dust-containing air sucked by a blow motor 21 enters a filter element 27 to be filtered while clean air is passed through a ring shaped space to be issued from the air passing hole 24 provided to the center of a partition wall 23 and exhausted from the outlet of the air passing hole 24 while sound is attenuated by a sound arrester. The noise in a suction side issues from the air passing hole 24 to straightly advance to the side of the closure end plate of the filter element 27, which is adjacent to the blower motor 21 and the air passing port 24 on the same center axis and opposed to the suction side and attenuated by a sound receiving part and a resonant cylinder 20.
