PURPOSE:To lessen the fading of colored portions by heat as well as enhance the chemical resistance of blank (white) portion and colored portion by including a specific compound as an electron acceptor substance to give color upon reaction with an electron donative dye precursor and a specific phenolic compound in the thermal recording material. CONSTITUTION:A thermal recording material contains a compound of the gen eral formula (I) as an electron acceptor substance to five color upon reaction with a colorless or light-color electron donative dye precursor, besides the elec tron donative dye precursor, and phenolic derivatives of the general formulas (II)-(V). The preferred amount of the phenolic compounds, as represented by the formulas (II)-(V), is 5-200wt%, more preferably 20-100wt%, on the basis of the electron acceptor compound. |
