Method of mfg. high-yield pulp of chemimechanical or chemithermomechanical type, comprises sepg. defribrated or refined pulp by screening into a long-fibre fraction of min. wt. 30% of the ingoing pulp, and a fine-fibre fraction which is re-screened to give a second long-fibre fraction, and a second fine-fibre fraction which is dewatered and removed. The two long-fibre fractions are combined, dewatered and removed.
