PURPOSE:To realize an optical card having high contrast and a high S/N by forming a void having >=0.01mm size between an optical recording layer and a protective layer with a spacer interposed between a substrate and a protective film. CONSTITUTION:A recording layer 3 consisting of a single pigment or a pigment composition is formed on a substrate 2 consisting of an acrylic resin, etc., a spacer 6 of polyester, etc. having 0.01-0.5mm thickness is placed on the recording layer 3, and a protective layer 4 is laminated thereon. Besides, a void 5 having >=0.01mm length is formed between the recording layer 3 and the protective layer 4. When the void 5 having >=0.01mm length is thus formed between the optical recording layer part and the protective layer, the contrast can be increased by 2 times as compared with the conventional one, and an optical card having a high S/N can be obtained. |
