<p>PURPOSE:To absorb the torque fluctuation of a motor and improve the steering feeling by providing an elastic means between a torque transmitting member transmitting the auxiliary rotating torque of the motor and an output shaft. CONSTITUTION:When the steering torque is applied to the first shaft 1, it is transmitted from the first shaft 1 to the second shaft 2 via a torsion bar 9, a current is fed to a rotor 16, and a motor 4 is rotated in the same direction as that of the steering torque. The rotating torque of the rotor 16 is decelerated by a reduction gear 5 and is transmitted and outputted to the second shaft 2 via transmitting means 32, 37, 35. In this case, an annular rubber body 37 is provided between the first carrier member 32 connected to the reduction gear 5 and the second carrier member 35 fixed to the second shaft 2. Accordingly, the torque fluctuation of the rotor 16 and vibrations of the reductin gear 5 can be absorbed by the rubber body 37, and they can be prevented from being transmitted to the second shaft 2.</p> |
