PURPOSE:To aim at simplifying and miniaturizing a vertical conveyor belt device, by providing such an arrangement that a space which is formed when side plates provided on a pair of flexible flat belts and having concave and convex parts that are enageable together, are meshed with each other, is sectioned into a plurality of smally transfer spaces by a partition plate. CONSTITUTION:A first transfer belt 14 receives thereon with a cargo at its flat loading place 2, then moving leftward, and passes a meshing mechanism 16 composed of bearing rollers 7 and a deflecting roller 16. At this place the belt 14 is mated with a second transfer belt 15, and concave teeth 14h, 15h and covex teeth 14, 15h formed in side plates 14b, 15b are mashed with each other. Accordingly, both belts are fastened together and are led by guide rollers 8 in the vertical direction to a release mechanism 17. At this time the cargo is held in spaces defined among both belts 14, 15, side plates 14b, 15b and partition plates 9, and is therefore surely transferred. Both belts are separated from each other by the release mechanism 17 while the cargo is discharged into a cargo dumping position 3. With this arrangement it is possible to simplify and miniaturize the arrangement of the vertical conveyor belt device. |
