PURPOSE:To prevent a replacement period from being missed and picture quality from deteriorating by displaying in-use states of replacement parts for maintenance on a display part and stopping copying operation forcibly when the use of replacement parts exceeds a specific extent. CONSTITUTION:When a service key is pressed upon occasion, a display appears on the display part in an operation part. Namely, in-use states of a photosensitive drum, developer, cleaning blade, and others as replacement parts for maintenance are displayed by the rates of hatching to replacement periods are expected replacement periods are displayed in characters. Further, when the use of replacement parts for maintenance exceeds a specific reference, a control part 72 which is backed up by a DC power source 75 outputs a signal to a relay 74 to turn off a relay contact 74a, and then an AC driving system 73 connected to an AC power source through a main switch 76 and the relay contact 74a is turned of to stop copying operation. Thus, the replacement period of replacement parts is never missed and deterioration in picture quality is prevented. |
