PURPOSE:To stably perform the control of air-fuel ratio, by providing a heater control means for regulating a heater for heating the oxygen concentration sensor of an internal combustion engine, and a calculation means for regulating the heater control means. CONSTITUTION:An oxygen concentration sensor III is provided in the exhaust line II of an internal combustion engine I. A heater IV is provided for the sensor III. A calculation means VII for determining heating electric power for the heater IV in terms of a detection signal from a fuel-cut operation detection means VI. When fuel-cut operation is found out by the detection means IV, a command is applied to a control means V to set the heating electric power for the heater so as to set the temperature of the oxygen concentration sensor III at an activating level. As a result, the control of air fuel ratio of the internal combustion engine is stably performed. |
