PURPOSE:To improve the ventilating characteristic and to facilitate the disassembling and assembling by mounting a windshield plate support on the axial end of a bind strip support to surround a stator winding end, and mounting a cylindrical windshield plate at the end with respect to an axial flow fan. CONSTITUTION:In a rotary electric machine in which an axial flow fan 10 is provided on a rotor shaft 9 to cool it, and a stator winding end 3 is reinforced by bind strips 4a, 4b supported by bind strip supports 7a, 7b, one end of a windshield support 30 formed in the shape to surround the end 3 is detachably mounted by a bolt 31 at the axial end of the support 7a. A cylindrical windshield plate 32 is disposed at the position opposed to the fan 10, and one end is detachably mounted on the other end of the support 30. Thus, cooling effect can be enhanced without increasing the axial size. |
