Method and device for improving the thermal insulation of swimming-pools and other or light constructions. The device is comprised of floating material or air cushions (16), a film (7), an elastic attachment for permanent tensioning (15), an air pocket (10) between the film (7) and the water, which air pocket is the desired result. The air pocket (10) is also provided between two films (7) with the bow (1) and its bent metal plates (3) or the U-shaped irons (14). The tension of the film (7) is always provided by the tensioning devices (13), the strings (8), the elastic yarns (15) or by tightening the screw (2).
