PURPOSE:To provide a simple mechanism at low cost with a prevention of paper jam by arranging in the manner that a guide member can operate to press by the line-directional action of a carrier. CONSTITUTION:When a carrier 2 is moved in an arrow direction (A), a ski 24 attached to the carrier 2 pushes shutters 12-14 resisting the force of a spring 22, printing accurately in a line-direction. The shutter 12-14 are integrally connected by a link 18, and the upper part of a platen is kept open if either of the shutters is pressed by the ski 24. Even when the carrier 2 returns in an opposite direction to the arrow direction (A), the shutter returns to an original position, sucks and guides paper, if the carrier goes back to a home position without faulty operation. Thus an extremely simple mechanism consuming less electric power for shutter operation is realized. |
