Orienteering equipment, especially for the visually impaired and learning disabled, comprising a map holder (1) and north indicator (11). The map holder (1) is designed to receive and fix the map in place with the lines for north running in a specific direction relative to the holder while the north indicator (11) is fixed in relation to the map holder and is designed in such a way that it gives the person carrying the map holder perceptible signals that can be used to turn the map holder with map into a position in which the north lines of the map align with the northerly direction of the indicator. This allows the user to carefully follow the map without needing to heed a compass needle or understand the function of the compass.<IMAGE> |
