PURPOSE:To prevent occurrence of slippage from a track when the azimuth angle between a magnetic head and magnetic stripe is adjusted, by constituting the magnetic head of a magnetic head holding member, carriage member coupled with the holding member, and guiding member which slidingly guides the carriage member in the direction of the magnetic stripe. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic head holding member 13 has an arc-like convex surface 13a which is centered on the center point 14a of the head gap of a magnetic head 14. A carriage member 12 is contacted with a concave surface 12a which accurately coincides with the convex surface 13a. The magnetic head holding member 13 and carriage member 12 are fixed by two screws 20 and 20 after the azimuth angle between the magnetic head 14 and a magnetic stripe 10a is adjusted. Since the magnetic head 14 rotates around the center point 14a of the head gap along the concave surface 12a when the azimuth angle adjustment is made, no deviation occurs between the magnetic stripe 10a and magnetic head 14 in the direction (y). |
