<p>A fabric softening heavy duty liquid detergent, useful for both cleaning and softening laundry, includes synthetic organic detergent, preferably sodium higher alkylbenzene sulfonate, builder salt, preferably including sodium tripolyphosphate, finely divided swelling bentonite, water insoluble soap, and water. Such product is a liquid, convenient for use in hand or machine washing of laundry. Preferably, the liquid detergent comprises about 9% of sodium linear tridecylbenzene sulfonate, about 2% of sodium alkyl polyethoxy sulfate wherein the alkyl is of 12 to 15 carbon atoms and the polyethoxy is of 3 ethylene oxide groups, about 11% of sodium tripolyphosphate, about 4% of sodium carbonate, about 12% of Wyoming bentonite, about 2% of aluminum stearate, about 1% of adjuvant(s), and about 59% of water.</p> |
