PURPOSE:To prevent an unnecessary increase of fuel and improve fuel consumption, by obtaining a decrease of intake air density from a difference between the level ground averaged value and the present averaged value of an air-fuel ratio feedback correction coefficient and increasing an increase start air quantity by the quantity corresponding to this difference. CONSTITUTION:When an engine is in operation, a control circuit 30 multiplies a difference, between the level ground averaged value and the present averaged value of an air-fuel ratio feedback correction coefficient determined on the basis of an output from an O2 sensor 52, by a predetermined coefficient, calculating a highland study value X. While the control circuit, adding a fuel increase start air quantity Qo on the level ground to the highland study value X, calculates a highland increase start air quantity Qoa. And the control circuit, discriminating the engine in its high loaded condition when an intake air quantity Q obtained by an air flow sensor 18 is larger than the Qoa after warming of the engine is finished, increases an injection quantity of fuel from a fuel injection valve 26 to be corrected. While the control circuit, when the intake air quantity Q is larger than the Qo while smaller than the Qoa, controls an ignitor so as to delay the ignition timing. |
