PURPOSE:To enable the titled device to operate while making waiting time minimum and to improve efficiency of copying work by providing a means that instructs variable power means that instructs starting of copying, means that permits starting of copying and a controlling means that prohibits starting of copying by providing a time of prohibition during execution of variable power according to the instruction of variable power. CONSTITUTION:A read-only memory ROM3, a read-write memory RAM4 and an input output L/O port 5 are connected to a muCPU1 that executes copying machine program. By applying instruction of variable power by a variable power switch 6, the copying machine executes operation of variable power that requires a time T1. When prohibition time (T1-T2) elapsed during execution of magnification changing operation, an indicator lamp 8 is changed from red to green by controlling the CPU1 and copying is permitted. When an operator confirms this permission for copying and issuing instruction for copying by depressing a print button 7 at an optional time T3, copying operation is started, and actual image forming operation is started after required time T2. |
