PURPOSE:To easily install a rotary shaft of a cooling water pump, by supporting the rotary shaft in a pump case, and also supporting an extension part of the rotary shaft extending to a driving shaft side at an intermediate portion thereof by means of a bracket projecting from an engine case. CONSTITUTION:A cooling water pump 3 is mounted by a bolt 7 to one side portion of a crank case 2 at a desired part of an engine 1, and a lubricating oil pump 8 is mounted by a bolt 9 on the inside of the crank case 2. A rotary shaft 12 of the cooling water pump 3 has an extension part extending from a pump case 10, which extension part is formed with an engagement portion 12a at one end engaged with an engagement portion 17a of a rotary shaft 17 of the lubricating oil pump 8 at one end. The rotary shaft 12 is supported by a single bearing 13 in the pump case 10, and the extension part of the rotary shaft 12 is supported at its intermediate portion by a bracket 14 inwardly projecting from the crank case 2. With this arrangement, load of the bearing portion of the rotary shaft 12 may be reduced to attain an intended object. |
