The subject of the invention is a device for indexing recipients of revolution equipped with an orientation peg in relief, of the type comprising a locking finger against which the peg in relief abuts when the recipient has been given a rotational movement about its axis. According to the invention the locking finger 10 is mounted on a pivoting support 9, carrying an idler roller 12 associated with the said finger, the finger-roller assembly being intended to interact with means 12 for holding the recipient of the index and capable of being given a rapid rotational movement, elastic means 13 returning the said pivoting support 9 towards the rotational axis of the said holding means 12 and means being provided for adjusting the relative positions of the axes of the pivoting support of the roller and of the means for holding the recipient. <IMAGE>
