PURPOSE:To improve cooling effect for a rotor by providing a pipe allowing bypass of a part of leaking steam to a high pressure dummy ring, in a high and medium pressure combined type steam engine. CONSTITUTION:A leaking steam takeout passage 22, a hole 23 and a bypass pipe 25 are provided in the middle part of a high pressure dummy ring 21 of a high and medium pressure combined type steam engine, and a part 41a of leaking steam 31 from a speed governing step exit 30 is allowed to to a shigh pressure exhaust part. Thus, the temperature of cooling steam in a medium pressure entrance part is lowered and the cooling effect can be improved. |
