Sodium chlorite bleaching baths - contg complexing agents free from phosphorus and nitrogen

Use of monomer and/or oligomer and/or polymer N-and P-free cpds. as complexing agents, the complexing activity of which resides exclusively in their COOH- or carboxylate- and OH-gp. content, in bleaching baths contg. 0.5-5 wt % NaClO2 or equiv. amount ClO2, w.r.t. textile goods to be bleached, leads to raised bleaching bath activity, no waste-water problems, and reduced bleach consumption.
