The invention relates to a device making it possible to waterproof the roof of a pergola whilst safeguarding the accessibility of the trellis for the natural clinging of creepers. It consists of a semi-rigid waterproofing sheet 5 which is fastened at its median part 4 under each cross piece 3 and which folds down below the lateral beams 2 to which it is fastened at intervals 6 in order to enable the rain water to run off. The sheet is progressively raised at its four corners in order to direct the collected water away from the load-bearing pillars 1 and the assembly. The device according to the invention is particularly intended for the roofing of pergola-garages in gardens and semi-rural areas. <IMAGE>
