The installation for conveying mixtures of beet and rinsing water from a lower to a higher rinsing trough has a conveying pipe arranged between the said troughs, a beet pump and a second conveying path parallel to the conveying pipe with the beet pump. A water separator which can be connected to the lower rinsing trough and an ascending conveyor which adjoins the said separator are provided for the beet in the said second conveying path. A collecting tank which is arranged beneath the water separator is connected to a water pump, so that the beet and the rinsing water can be separately transferred via the second path into the upper rinsing trough.
