<p>Expandable resin material, which has been previously heated, is deposited in zig-zag pattern on a moving paper strip. This takes up a channel shape, and a second paper strip is applied over the resin. The assembly passes through a calibration and expansion zone, in which the paper strips are joined at their edges by penetration of expandable resin, which closes the sepn. gap. It then passes through a heating zone, and is subjected to suitable transverse and longitudinal cutting. (-pp)</p> |
