摘要 Re-adjustable and adjustable, self-centring and self-locking internal bottom bracket ball bearing unit, especially for use in vehicles with two or more wheels whose drives are muscular force and/or auxiliary motors. Previously used complete internal bottom bracket ball bearings are based on the use of deep groove ball bearings or their systems and therefore require axles - and of course ball bearings or ball bearing races - specially manufactured for them. The construction principle does not permit re-adjustment when required. In the internal bottom bracket ball bearing unit presented, both a previously used bottom bracket ball bearing axle and commercially available ball bearing races are used. By means of an adjustment ring with a thread which can only be used in one direction, the bearing play can be adjusted and re-adjusted as required and is at the same time also secured against loosening. By virtue of overlapping diameters of the bottom bracket ball bearing unit and of the installation housing, and by virtue of the slip phases provided, centring and form fitting matched to the housing occurs during assembly so that the bottom bracket ball bearing unit is both attached centrally and secured against rotation. By maintaining a smaller diameter in the central area of the internal bottom bracket ball bearing unit, space is provided which permits cables to be led through the housing of the bottom bracket ball bearing.
