PURPOSE:To start a power converter in a stable operation state of a semiconductor element by starting the converter after the element is preheated. CONSTITUTION:When a start command A is applied, the start control circuit 51 if a converter operates to operates a ring counter 53 and an ON/OFF pulse selector 54 to apply a gate signal to the GTO of a power inverter 30. On the other hand, since the voltage of a main circuit is controlled by a phase controller 56 so as not to apply a gate pulse to a rectifier 10 during operation of a timer 57, the voltage is generated. After the GTO of the inverter 30 is preheated, the voltage of the main circuit is generated. |
