PURPOSE:To obtain the titled permanent magnet alloy having an enhanced anisotropic magnetic field while inhibiting reduction in the saturation magnetization by adding specified percentages of Yb, Fe, Mn and a group IVB element to Co. CONSTITUTION:An alloy consisting of, by weight, 25-30% Yb, 10-20% Fe, 4- 9% Mn, 1-3% one or more kinds of group IVB elements such as Ti, Zr and Hf, and the balance Co is manufactured. Reduction in the saturation magnetization of the alloy due to the antiferrostructure is inhibited by selecting Yb as a rare earth element, and the anisotropic magnetic field can be enhanced by adding and substitution Mn and group VIB elements. The alloy can be used as an effective permanent magnet alloy. |
