GROUND ANCHOR

A ground anchor for tying down aircraft which includes a base plate, a plurality of equispaced apertures through the plate adjacent the outer perimeter thereof; a plurality of rods that project through respective ones of the apertures in the base plate and fit loosely therein to permit driving the rods into the ground at an angle in the range of 30 to 45.degree. to the vertical. There is an enlarged head on the end of each rod with an aperture extending transversely therethrough and a lug secured to the upper surface of the base plate and projecting upwardly therefrom.
