The separating screen or fence of wooden components comprises vertical columns (1) of equal-sided H-section. Obliquely sawn distance blocks fit in the column grooves, and have notches on which flat slats rest. These run obliquely and parallel to each other. There is a horizontal rail at the bottom and an oblique one at the top. The blocks can be sawn in a parallelogram shape, the slats (5) resting obliquely on the ribs at the sides of their notches. The parts are provided in an easily transportable construction pack.
