PURPOSE:To facilitate the adjustment of the mount position of a printing mechanism part, by enlarging the functions of a printer control part and a motor control part to enable the supply of the same driving current as a rotary state to a stepping motor even in a rotation stop state. CONSTITUTION:When the PAUSE/CONT switch of an operation panel 41 is pushed, a motor control part 22 rotates a stepping motor 23 on the basis of the rotation order from a printer control part 21. When the printer control part 21 detects the detection signal 122 from a position sensor 25, said control part 21 sends a stop driving order to the motor control part 22. The motor control part 22 stops the stepping motor 22 on the basis of the stop driving order from the printer control part 21 but succeedingly flows a drive current. Because of this, large holding force is imparted to the stepping motor 23 and the mount position of a simple mount 3 can be adjusted without rotating the stepping motor 23. |
