The device comprises a support panel 1 provided on its lower face 3 with a recess 6, in which fit the plate of a pad head and of an elastic end-piece 7 ended by a retaining toe 10 intended to firmly fix the support panel to the plate of the pad head, through a bore in the said plate, when this plate is fitted in the recess 6 and having on its upper face 2 first stopping means 13 and second stopping means 14, between which the lath floor to be laid is inserted, as well as elastic locking strips 21, 22, placed near the stopping means, for locking the lath floor in position. This device fitted to pads supporting large or small slabs makes it possible to lay a lath floor between a wall or a sill and the said large or small slabs, at the same time as the latter are laid on the pads. <IMAGE>
