PURPOSE:To make it possible to maintain a steering wheel always in one and the same direction even if the set position of the steering wheel is changed, by making a steering shaft coupled to the steering wheel foldable, and by providing a guide part for guiding the steering wheel so that the steering wheel is parallel moved right and left. CONSTITUTION:A bench type seat 4 is disposed in the intermediate section of a vehicle body 1, and a steering wheel 7 is positioned in the front of the seat 4. Further, the steering wheel 7 is coupled with a steering shaft 8 having its lower end coupled to a steering unit 9. In this arrangement, a laterally extending guide part 12 fixed to a vehicle frame is disposed between the steering wheel 7 and a flexible joint 10 which is disposed between the upper and lower sections 8a, 8b of the steering shaft 8. Further, the guide part 12 is arranged to guide the upper section 8a of the steering shaft 8 such that the upper section 8a is parallely moved right and left to be set selectively at either one of both side position and center position. With this arrangement, the steering wheel 7 may be maintained always in one and the same direction with respect to the advance direction. |
